Inner Room — Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply specifically to bookings, rentals, and events at Inner Room, and are separate from Essence Med Spa's general spa and medical spa service terms.

Booking & Payment

Rental rate: $55/hour, plus a $20 cleaning fee per booking. A booking is confirmed only once payment (or a deposit, if applicable) is received through our online booking system. Full payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Rates are subject to change; confirmed bookings will honor the rate in effect at the time of booking.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the booking start time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the booking start time are non-refundable but may be rescheduled once, subject to availability, within 30 days of the original date. No-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable. Inner Room reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (maintenance, emergency, etc.), in which case a full refund or rescheduling option will be offered.

 

Capacity

The space accommodates up to 15 people for ceremonies and circle-style gatherings, and up to 25 people for meetings, talks, and conference-style seating. The renter is responsible for ensuring the group does not exceed the capacity limit appropriate to the layout in use. Exceeding stated capacity limits may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.

Use of Space & Equipment

The rental includes use of ambient decor, gong, Bluetooth speakers, and screen/projector as available and in working condition at the time of booking. Equipment must be used as intended and left in the condition it was found. Any loss or damage to Inner Room property (decor, equipment, furnishings, or the space itself) caused by the renter or their guests will be billed to the renter at replacement or repair cost. Open flame (candles, incense, etc.) is only permitted with prior written approval and must comply with fire safety guidelines.

 

Co-Produced Events (60/40 Split)

For events co-produced with outside facilitators, revenue is split 60% to the facilitator / 40% to Inner Room, based on gross ticket sales processed through the Inner Room's ticketing system. Facilitators are responsible for their own event promotion and bringing their own participants; Inner Room will feature the event on its website and social channels. Payouts to facilitators are processed after the event, less any applicable fees, on a schedule to be confirmed at the time of co-production agreement. Co-produced events remain subject to all other terms in this document (capacity, cancellation, conduct, etc.), applied to the facilitator as the responsible party for their event.

Event Ticketing (Public Events)

Tickets for public events hosted at Inner Room are sold through our online ticketing system with automatic capacity limits and confirmation emails. Ticket refunds follow the cancellation policy for the specific event as stated on the event listing, or Section 2 of these Terms if none is specified. Inner Room is not responsible for a ticket holder's inability to attend due to personal circumstances, traffic, parking, or weather.

Conduct & Liability

Renters and their guests are expected to treat the space, its contents, and Essence Med Spa's premises with respect. Inner Room reserves the right to end a booking immediately, without refund, in cases of illegal activity, property damage, harassment, or conduct that endangers others. Participation in any activity, ceremony, class, or workshop hosted at Inner Room (by the renter, a facilitator, or their guests) is voluntary and at the participant's own risk. Inner Room and Essence Med Spa are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from activities conducted in the space, except where caused by our own negligence. Renters hosting facilitated sessions (e.g., breathwork, sound healing, ceremonial practices) are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary waivers, disclosures, or releases from their own participants.

Parking & Access

Inner Room is located above Essence Med Spa at 107 W Gutierrez St, Santa Barbara, CA. The closest public lot is Lot 12 — Parker Village Lot, at 11 W Gutierrez St. Renters are responsible for informing their guests of parking options in advance; Inner Room does not guarantee parking availability. Access to the space is limited to the confirmed booking window. Renters should plan setup and breakdown time within their reserved hours, unless additional time has been purchased.

Changes to These Terms

Inner Room may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version in effect at the time of a confirmed booking will apply to that booking.
